Granted, insects can develop immunities to certain chemicals, which is why there are many on the market. But these are the ones we generally have the best results with.

If you suspect bed bugs, check tags, seams, folds and staples on furniture and beds.

Also, they do not transmit disease they're just a nuisance, just FYI.

It's 6 o clock in the morning and looked upon the wall
Some roaches and some bed bugs were having a game of ball.
The score was 6 to 3 and the roaches were ahead.
The bed bugs hit a home run and then knocked me out of bed.

God I still remember this from my childhood.

The easiest way is to alternate 80s country music and The Smiths on the stereo, full blast for 72 hours. The bed bugs will kill themselves. Just leave out thousands of tiny nooses.

When we travel, we keep our suitcases closed at all times. When we need something, we unzip it, take it out, and immediately close it up again.

We also take special extra-extra large zip-lock bags in which to store our dirty clothes. (Walmart sells them.) After our clothes have been in the room and worn, we shake them out real well, then into the bags they go. And they don't come out again until we get back home and the clothes get placed directly into a washer & dryer.
