Low light, close quarters but could go out to 50 or 100 yards. Town house-- longest shot 40'. Under 100.00 hopefully.

Under 40' needs a dot, not a scope. Works up to 100 yards too, if you're average vision or better. Remember Maryland laws on home defense might not count two houses away.

100 buck is fairly cheap. Bushnell trs is an option.

Used holosun or primary arms advanced micro would be very hard to beat for ~$100

I have 2 TRS's. Retail is around 90 - 100 bucks. Decent Red Dots for the money and can sometimes be found dirt cheap online. I bought one without a riser for like 54 bucks delivered.

Oh, yeah....will need a riser for AR use.

300 easily with a red dot if your vision is okay

My vote, any of the above. My preference would be the one that had the least amount of garbage hanging off the sides(think Eotech type). The less you have sticking out around your sight, the more clarity you'll have in low light using a both eyes open technique.
