I am going to pick up my ccw permit today :party29: (Since I now live in PA). Anyway the question I have is that I am pretty much set on a Kahr CW9 that is at a shop a block from my house. I am just curious of any other handguns that you all carry and your setups. I was thinking IWB but not sure how comfortable it would be or should I go with a belt holster?

I've been pretty happy with my smart carry holster. Its a pain to use the bathroom though. I've read of some carrying full size 1911s in them but that seems like it would be uncomfortable. I carry a 3in CS9 (on my property only)

My favorite was always a PF-9 with a belt clip IWB. Great compromise between size and power... and it absolutely disappears when carried.

Agreed there is no way that my body with me wearing clothes that are "fitting" would hide a full size

As soon as I get home from work, I pocket carry a PF9 with a DeSantis pocket holster. I used to carry IWB but since I got the Keltec I don't bother with anything bigger. I can empty a magazine in a pie plate at 15 yards with it.

Comfort and concealment rarely go together. The only remotely comfortable options for me have been a shoulder rig or pocket pistol with a good pocket holster in pants that allow enough room. If you travel in warmer climates the fanny pack or belt pouch(CD player size or whatever fits) is usually not too bad. Belt and IWB is not great for dunlappers!

A good belt holster and belt can make a Glock 22 conceal well.

I have yet to try an IWB holster but I can't wait to. I use a safari land sig 2340 holster for my Glock 23. I fits both guns perfectly with zero wiggle.

Whatever you carry, get one of the holsters from www.smartcarry.com

They are the most concealable, comfortable, and inexpensive CCW holsters I have ever tried.

I like to carrya Walther PPS or a Para Warthog in the Smartcarry holster. When I go out with a coat on and I know I won't be removing my coat, I carry an S&W Model 29 with a six inch barrel in a holster custom made from Lawman Leather (www.lawmwnleather.com) which is the exact same holster used by Clint Eastwood in all of the Dirty Harry movies.
