I own a couple Marlins and a 10/22. I like the Marlins because of the price and I don't worry if they get nicked up. The 10/22 shoots better for me and has way better stock sights. The 10/22 is also very customizable and you will be able to find parts and mags for it forever. You can also get hi-caps for it if you drive somewhere else to get them.
