I like those arguments, but I can’t get behind the “secession = war” belief. It doesn’t necessarily, and in my opinion it shouldn’t. The Articles of Confederation allowed for secession and the Constitution is ambiguous at best on it. I think people have a right to self rule; if the people of CA want to take their ball and leave the fine. The idea of the union being run like the mafia ( in for life) has never set well with me.

This link was referenced by poster HRDWRK in another section. It discusses the "mathematics" of countering tyranny.

Without going into the whole thing, the section on "resistance strategy and tactics" is well worth a reading. Additionally a lot of good takeaway in other sections. The concept of leaderless resistance is worth looking into, for example.

I get that there’s a mechanism for it, but practically, yes, there would be war. I can’t see the federal government just allowing it.

A House Divided ... study what happened in eastern Europe with Balkinization.

Or read the EFAD series where Matt Bracken describes a scenario where the Federal government basically allows the country to be divy'ed up; red / blue and no-man's land. They are still available on Amazon, but the combo price for all three has went up to $55.49. I wonder why ?

I don't think he sets the price. Market demand and scarcity, with no reprints in the works drives the price up. He does get residuals I'm sure, but his emphasis lately is on his newer books with geopolitical implications.
