Factory Stainless Match USP in .45. Lara Croft gun.

That's extremely cool, doc. For some reason I had always thought that Lara Croft carried Desert Eagles? Was that a commemorative model made for the Tomb Raider movies or just something HK built for a little awhile? Forgive my ignorance of HK product history. My experience has been limited to ownership of a lightly used Model 91 back in 1982. It was a great rifle but, damaged spent brass to the point where it couldn't be reloaded so I didn't keep it for very long.

I tried Blaster's VP9 not long ago and was impressed enough to put it on my would-like-to-have list. I've never been all that attracted to HK pistols but, the VP9SK was lust at first grope...er, grasp.

HK made these as competition guns for a while. For the movies, they appear to have just used off-the-shelf models, except it looks like they used an all-black compensator instead of the one with “match” embossed on it. They do look like Desert Eagles in profile. The compensator can be removed. It is just a weight. The barrel extends to the end of the compensator. It is not ported. It has an HK Match trigger, which is very light and smooth. Worlds different from a stock USP. It shoots very nicely, with the compensator doing its job well. Very accurate. This is actually my wife’s.

I have a VP9 with a Lobos trigger. Love it. Never held a gun that fit me better.

She got a P10c. Was one of those too good to pass up deals on a Czech made one.

Very cool. Yes, I know CZ is shifting production to their Kansas City facility for the P-10F and P-10S, too. An Uhersky Brod built P-10C would be nice to have.

Finally got around to picking-up a VP9 from Dan at BBP today.
Nice option for an HD gun, if you intend to move it into that role. Forget if your compact version is full FDE or OD green. Family picture might be in order. ;)
    Love this gun
The Oolight is a great look/fit with your VP9. I put one on my P226 (and need to see if there are compatible holster options).

Thanks! Yeah, if it performs anywhere near as well as my VP9SK (and I expect it will), I could see it becoming a primary nightstand gun with the SK relegated to carry-only once I move outside the borders of MD. Plus, they're just surprisingly comfortable and easy to shoot well so both will go to the range on a regular basis.

My SK is black/dark gray. I sold the FDE last September to fund another pistol purchase. Never thought I'd like polymer-framed, striker-fired pistols as much as my steel, hammer-fired CZ's but, I gotta say that I've learned to appreciate their virtues.

Im looking to pick up my first hk here pretty soon. I went to a gun store to look at striker fires and the vp9 felt right. well they had a vp9 in tan and a used black one with custom sights i didnt care for too much. The price difference was about 120 but a new one would come with better mags so i think its worth it. If i were to pick it up from there i would have to get them to order one for me, but would it be worth it / would i be allowed to buy the LE model with 3 mags and night sights already on?

    Nice!

OK, so I'm not the only one! I've never been able to warm-up to the CZ P-10 and P-09/P-07 because I thought their grips weren't comfortable. I thought Walther was the polymer/striker pistol for me until last Summer, when I tried Blaster229's VP9. It made the Walther feel cheap by comparison.

No you're definitely not the only one.

I have a P09, with only 150 rds through it. I like it but don't...and its just for the reason you stated...grip comfort. Unlike my P01 which feels extremely comfortable when I shoot. Maybe I'll try adjusting the back strap to see if that makes a difference.

I will say that my HK VP9SK replaced the P01 as my bedside go-to!
