Everything BCM i've encountered has been super tight. Even getting the split pin (not a roll pin) into the forward assist was a huge PITA. I hate split pins...

That thingie on the end makes it look longer.
Remove a 0 and you are right.
My personal opinion and after a decent amount of my own testing (YMMV), I feel that the AR15 is the best HD set up for my needs. It's not my only option, but it's my first.
I'd be interested in hearing about your testing.
I have found 5.56 to be less likely to over-penetrate given my current living situation over 9mm or 12 ga, in general

Just a real noob question. I cant remember but so takedown pins come with a lower parts kit or am I gonna have to buy this?

Yep. As per above, takedown pins come with an LPK.
I had a spare set of JP oversized pins, so decided to use them to get a slightly tighter upper/lower fit. YMMV. With these, the front pin needs a little help with a punch, but the rear slides right out with a gentle thumb press.
Ended up needing JP double oversized (.250) pins for an ill fitting receiver set that I did prior. Tight fit now, though.

Last few parts finally came in and finished her up yesterday.
Put about 300 rounds through it yesterday and very happy with the result. Getting about 4:00 ejection unsuppressed, and 2:30 suppressed. Less than one inch POI shift at 100 yards.
Wasn’t shooting for accuracy but was getting about 2-2.5 moa with xm855, so we’ll see what she’ll do with better ammo. Didn’t have a very good set up, only a bag rest.
