    where I used to work, there was a poor local older gentleman that we allowed to come into our foundry on sundays when we were closed and he would shoot the pigeons with a pellet rifle.

    I talked to him a few times and he was an interesting guy. He called them "squab" and He loved the young ones still in the nest.

    He would take them home and eat them.
    We did not publicize this activity to the general employee population. But we benefited and he benefited.

    I can't believe nobody is allowed to eat the birds. Especially on Tuesdays. Is there a place to melt snow, to make coffee?

    We do find a lot of English House Sparrows, but that is not the only type birds we catch. Any type bird that invades a store is a target. Birds in stores are a health violation, destroy merchandise and leave droppings on customers.
