    I have a rack grade M1D I got from the CMP and the reproduction scope mount that came with it. While mounting my M82 optic I noticed the scope mount moves slightly perpendicularly to the barrel. Has anyone run into this issue before? The scope mount and mounting point are both free of burrs and the mount has been hand tightened just like my manual says. Any advice for fixes?

    I am in need of a good mount myself, from what ive been told 99% of the aftermarket mounts suck. Problem is, half the folks selling mounts online claim to be legit mounts and in some cases its hard to tell. which is why i still dont have one.

    I can identify any real or fake scope mounts if you send me pictures.

    Just a suggestion, but could you put a small rubber O-Ring between the mounting arm and where the bolt mounts to the rifle?
