We need someone official, a delegate or senator, to give us some guidance here.

Everyone start contacting your reps ASAP.

I think the most important part of this will be the law suit when a State employee is found to give PII information and/or firearms ownership to a criminal enterprise.

Then, MOM, and everyone else is going to find the butts in court...

What in the hell are we supposed to do? This is way, way out of hand. How does this jackass have the authority to allow this info into the hands of agencies it was not intended for? Are there no trustworthy employees in our government? Why is there no one resisting this when asked to release the info? My blood is boiling!!!:mad54::mad54::mad54::mad54::mad54::mad54:

The ONLY department in there that the 77R allows for information to be shared is the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and that's not even all of the information, just basic. I'm starting to wonder who these delegates are really serving here.

    MSP 77R-3 (6-07) said:
"I (Personal Information) authorize the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, or any other similar agency or department of another state, to disclose to the Department of State Police information limited to whether I suffer from a mental disorder as defined in § 10-101(f)(2) of the Health--General Article and have a history of violent behavior against anyone; or whether I have been confined for more than 30 consecutive days to a mental health facility as defined in § 10-101 of the Health--General Article."

Am I missing something? The MARYLAND STATE POLOCE are REQUIRED to do the investigation and to check out the apps. NOT ANY OTHER AGENCY OR ITS EMPLOYEES.

77R states that you consent to allow outside agencies/etc to disclose info TO the MdSP

It is not a consent for your info to be shared with THEM

Furthermore anyone that has submitted a 77R should send a registered, return receipt requested letter rescinding your permission

I further acknowledge that I may at
any time, except to the extent
    that the Department of State
Police has already taken action in
reliance on it, revoke this authorization by submitting a request
for revocation in writing. If not previously re
voked, this authorization will terminate one year
after the date I sign this applica
tion or upon notification to me of
    the denial of this application,
    whichever occurs first.

You want to swamp Md State Police with nonsense paperwork then crush them with this.

    Two problems.
    1. They won't get it til Monday, too late.
    2. They'll just stop your app and make you turn in your firearm.
