What you are looking for is a logical explanation. That doesn't exist. It also won't stop Frosh from suing.

He is the state's attorney general. He could sue on the basis that Green Jello doesn't taste the way he expected. Regardless of of the merit, he can use tax dollars to tie up this, or any other case, for years.
Frosh is different than the rest of us- the state's attorney has a LOT of power in Marylandistan.

OP great job on the Video!
You can tell the question threw him off his game, he never saw it coming. He was quick to throw out is standard political speak once he recovered.

Wasn't there a letter sent by Hogan to the state police stating that he thought that self-defense was G&S at the beginning of his governship. My understanding that the state police sent to Frosh and one of his underlings sent a letter back that the governor didn't have the power that it must be done by the legislature and we all know how that would go.

Ham sandwiches.

It's up to the Judiciary to determine the validity of a suit, and the Steaming Pile would love nothing more than to tie it up in endless proceedings.

At least, that's the concern I'm hearing.

I see Hogan as the lesser of 2 evils. And as pointed out, given the majority in power in this state, his hands are tied to some extent unless he becomes self destructive or suicidal.

Which would get the issue back into the court which might find the "may issue" unconstitutional. .

Ed Zachary. And remember that the Froshole was one of the AG's who promised the DC AG Racine a backscratch if they didn't appeal the DC Circuit's court ruling that caused that jurisdiction to go Shall Issue. Commie state AGs aren't blind and they can see that there are several new Sheriff's at the SCOTUS.

I lean more towards Frosh doing nothing if Hogan gets re-elected and either No Balls Pallozi or a new MSP Secretary finds Jesus and decides to loosen up G&S. Several thousand permits will be issued but the next time a D is in the .gov mansion his Secretary will just go back to the "it's on the website" traditional definition.

Issue is already in court. Lawsuits have been re-filed and are moving through 4th circuit.

Like I said, step 1, get Kavanaugh confirmed; step two get Hogan some help in the form of removing the supermajorities in MD legislture; step three get the outstanding cases to Supreme Court. If we are extra lucky, Senate GOP majority holds in 2019 and RBG retires.
