Does CCW exempt from HQL

A friend of mine who also has a CCW said that you can be exempt from the HQL requirement by filling out some online form????

He can't remember where the form was online and I can't seem to find it. Thinking about purchasing another handgun, but don't have time to mess with taking the HQL class.

Anyone out there know how to do it?

Thanks
Dan

go to MDSP website, fill out the profile for the HQL and go to the training exempt section, fill it in, done.

as noted, you're not exempt, but can get one for free IIRC if you have a PTCH

It's free and exempts you from any training or courses. Assuming you already own a handgun. Not sure how it would work if you had a CCW and no handgun for some reason.

It's not free if you simply already own a handgun. You're training exempt only.

If you have a PTCH, it is free and training exempt.
