Bishop Carroll asked the Hillbilly Grandoa, after his hurried but well done presentation, if "his group " owns guns for self-defense. And why not just rely on the police?

Excellent answer that the police have no duty to protect, but it is up to the individual.

Discussion on the future of the Task Force.

These people have no clue. Decision making by a government committee, with weak leadership and an agenda.

    Sigh.

AA County wants to present the report to the MGA committees.

County Government Affairs committee is running the public presentation.

Roz just dropped a bomb. There's consideration to brief the MDGA early in the session. Specifically, the Senate Judiciary. That's on the prelim report, because the final won't be done until May.

“Rely on the police”? That shows their naivety in thinking laws will stop criminals. In psychiatry it’s called “magical thinking”.

Many thanks to you Hillbilly Grandpa for taking responsibility for researching and organizing your talk before the TF, and to all those who contributed ideas that HG solicited here on MDS in recent weeks to prepare for it:

    https://www.mdshooters.com/showthread.php?t=239329

HG your talk juxtaposed interesting slides, and you delivered so much of the material extemporaneously, which is very difficult to do. You were a model speaker, willing to put yourself in front of a potentially unfriendly audience.

You gave an excellent answer to Bishop Charles Carroll’s question - - about why own personal firearms not used for sport hunting when we have police forces - - by referencing the counter-intuitive Constitutional ruling that “police have no legal duty to protect individual citizens.”

Also many thanks to the many Super Patriots in attendance there personally tonight to monitor the proceedings, and to the PATRIOT PICKET camera operator for live-streaming HG’s presentation to the PP Facebook page.

The PP live-stream has now converted to an archived video that you can still view there; it has 330 views so far:

Thought it was a slap in the face to Hillbilly Grandpa to close his presentation down on the claim that "we have other business to attend to," then dismiss the meeting early.

    At dismissal -

Committee attendees. I did not see Ms. Chamblee in attendance. They mentioned issues with getting a quorum, and put out the possibility of dropping to quarterly meetings. Don't know how that will work out, given that they have a final deliverable in May.

Some folks seem to think this committee will continue on ad infinitum, but the County Exec's order only charters them through the delivery period. They can make a recommendation to continue, but I don't believe they can just do so without the County Executive's oversight.

Alice was there. I didn't see if she was sitting at the committee table or in the gallery behind. Regardless, she stuck around to participate in the administrative subcommittee pulling the final report together.

Glenn James II signing in for Trisha Wolford? (last on the last page in MM's pics)

Is this another sit-in that goes against the citizen committee member rules?

Trisha Woolford is the Chief of the AACO Fire Department, Ex Officio not Citizen.

Seems a few can't follow basic instructions.

    Good catch Raineman!

Yes, as one of the appointed “Ex Officio” members of the TF Trisha Wolford can designate a substitute for herself at the monthly meetings.

The Task Farce website has links to their monthly meeting agendas, meeting minutes, Pittman’s “Executive Order Number 9” (creating the TF as an authorized government body, subject to the Open Meetings Act) and lists of the appointed “Citizen Members” and the “Ex Officio” members.

No surprise: more than 90% of the “Citizen Members” are residents of Gunbania, Maryland.

You can access the TF website here:
