I always thought a Remington 51 (the original, not the modern abomination) or Colt Model M (aka 1903 or "pocket hammerless") would have been a great gun - slim, accurate, no external hammer to snag, and easily concealed (slimmer than the PPK) and could be had in either .32 or .380
Update them with more modern sights (Novak etc) and hard to beat.

But Q liked his European guns so...

If we're going impractical... I'll see your bling monster and raise you bling + rockets :)

This actual pistol was used in You Only Live Twice... but the owner that lent it to the movie wouldn't let them touch it or shoot it, so it's static only sitting on table in the Japanese "Q" Ninja School scene.

The Japanese Q outfitted his guys with Gyrojet pistols, carbines and ... cigarettes (which Bond used to great advantage to get out of a sticky spot).

For pure science-fiction factor a Gyrojet would be a nice choice, and wouldn't need to be suppressed.
It's also very light (just over a pound) and slim, no external moving parts like a slide, can shoot it reliably underwater.

Not necessarily an ideal carry piece for several reasons in it's original form.
Some mods to the basic design (detachable mag for instance), and add a tracker/homing guided rocket like in Runaway and maybe you'd have something though.

Seecamp is also doing a 380 on the same frame. I suspect it hurts to shoot. And maybe just a tad small in hand.

I'd been lusting for a Seecamp 32. Put off by HQL and price. Ammo sensitive, too, apparently. Also the PPK is just so sweet to shoot, and eats anything I feed it. Possibly my bias is showing.

    I'm dying for a 7.65 PPK.
My Seecamp is a work of art. If you shoot the ammo recommended by them, you will have no issues.
The .380 is a different frame and is actually a bit heavy compared to other .380s available now.

How much cooler would James Bond have been if he carried a blued 6 1/2" Model 29?

clearly the P99as...or the ppq if they must....but the classic model with the paddle mag release. It'd be set up like the q4, with an rmr mounted up top and threaded barrel (obv) for a suppressor. I'd also have a TLR1HL on the rail, because bond does lots of night-work.

    PPS for deeper concealment.

For today's Bond, what Smokey said. Something like the Q5 Match, with an RMR that could also do thermal and probably sequence DNA (it's a Bond movie - science doesn't have to make sense). He'd likely also have a minidrone with a small caliber weapon and taser that he could remotely control with his Apple watch.

LOL! I was running with the more fire power thing and immediately thought of that pistol. 007 has always been more of a "go big or go home" kinda guy.
Plus, this has total bling with the gold tiger stripe AND you can switch out to the two-tone black for the more formal events we know James loves to attend :D

Will always envy somd_mustangs for his amazing MBA collection. I love You Only Live Twice and the Gyrojet was one of the reasons. The one-off Toyota 2000GT roadster was another. That movie had so much hardware. Like the Wallis WA-116 aka Little Nellie autogyro.

PAY ATTENTION, 007...now this is the 1935-S. It may be french, but it's small without being feminine, looks intimidating, and .32 French Long is strong enough to take on the various Odd Job (ba dum tiss) that might pop up.

Too funny! Then again, why would Q need any weapon, being omnipotent? Does kinda take the fun out of things, doesn't it?

I know that you're probably asking yourself, "Why would a brilliant, handsome, dashingly omnipotent being like Q need a handgun? ... or a starship, for that matter?"

(you read that in John de Lancie's voice, didn't you?)
