    No, the two systems do not cross.

    This is really rather meaningless except for the young Marine involved.
    The services can still ban them on post (which means they will charge you with other things if you have one) and then you can't take them off post to use them or when you move.

    So, it doesn't really do much, if anything.

    No but could it be used as persuasive authority?

    It is not precedent in the Federal civil system. It could be used as persuasive authority and the plaintiffs in the GOA v Garland (6CA) have cited it in their case. After reading it, I am not sure how persuasive it is. It does not really seem to add any additional analysis and is simply another opinion in the matter.
