Considering the history of buying companies then shutting them down to supposedly consonlidate their manufacturing while offering poor quality and CS that was unheard of from those companies prior to Freedom Group/Remington’s take over.

    Bushmaster
    Para-Ordance
    H&R/NEF
    DPMS
    Marlin

Plus the shitty quality and CS was no help to Remington own rifles, shotguns and pistols.

They spent money like a drunken sailor which I know is an insult to many drunken sailors

The media tries to blame this on the "Trump Slump" but other manufacturers are doing fine. The blame lies squarely at the feet of the management and poor business model(s).

    According to The Hill.

    http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-brief...bankruptcy-protection-one-day-after-march-for

According to the MSM is was the protests. Not poor sales, too much debt, shitty product releases, recalls, and poor customer service.

This article is a great example of the insidious nature of "journalism" put out by the left. Seamlessly weave the "March for Life" into the bankruptcy story with no actual attempt to link the two events (b/c they are unrelated). The result leaves the reader with the false impression that the antis are gaining ground.

    Now in Tennessee ,
It's been known for a couple months that they were preparing to file , Bankruptcy filing doesn't happen overnight , The media is using it now to shore up the protest Saturday .
Just to make the clueless think they have a victory ,

Sandy Hook suit was dismissed. This had nothing to do with marches and everything to do with being purchased by Cerberus, the formation of "The Freedom Group", then the subsequent gutting of the company to drive margins and revenue recognition. Laying off your institutional knowledge and lowering quality control/assurance is not a good long term strategy.

In short, Cerberus killed Remington (and Marlin, too.)
