Notice that nobody anywhere reported that the gazette killer passed a NICS check. He probably did, but they've managed to do non-reporting of that as it serves their agenda.

Oh, and one can't apparently write a letter to the editor about guns without mentioning scary black rifles and how scary they are. They are vewee scewee. Apparently the Patriot Picket got under her skin enough for an honorable mention. I hope she was one of the MDAs who I said "hi" to. I will give her a pocket constitution next year.

This demonstrates how confused and easily manipulated these people are.

I don't know how you battle these dimwits when they have the ears of the legislature and Uncle Fester.

    You know...like degrees of dead.

Dead 1 is a little dead and dead 10 is REALLY dead.

This letter to the editor is just painful to read. Apparently "Bettye" is as incapable of basic fact checking as she is of basic spelling and grammar checking.

Currently, there are no long gun background checks since they are used mostly for hunting.

Clearly this woman has never set foot in a gun store before or tried to buy one. But you'd think she could spend the 20 seconds it takes on Google to know this isn't true.

These are hard times and not in alignment with the times when the Second Amendment was written.

Yeah, because you know what times were easy? The late 1700s, when patriots took up arms against an oppressive government, fought and died for the freedom to found this great, independent nation.

AR15 rifles and high-capacity magazines need to be banned. Shootings using these weapons are too lethal.

"Too lethal"? lol. I don't even have words for this level of stupidity.

Background checks on all guns are necessary

Yeah, personally I like to do a background check on every gun I buy. "Now, Mr. Glock, have you ever slept with a Hi-Point?"

Also, permit renewals need to be the law as they are in the rest of the developed world./QUOTE]

    Permit renewals? For what?

I almost wish I subscribed to the Capital Gazette, just so I could unsubscribe over this trash. Not worth the paper it's printed on.

Maybe Betty with an extra e just wants to impress or feel special.

Extra vowels don't cost anything outside of "Wheel Of Fortune". :)

Silly rabbit, your Constitutionally Protected Rights Permit. You know, the one with the endorsements (just like your driver's license) indicating which Rights you have trained and qualified for. I just received my Freedom of Assembly endorsement last month, and am working on my Freedom of Speech endorsement. Yeah, yeah, shouda done that years ago, but it's sooo difficult to find 500 words for the essay justifying my need to the State. I really want my Redress of Grievances endorsement, but I'm told that's almost impossible to get.
