The Timonium antique gun show, in and of itself, puts enough into the local economy to make the proposed law a really bad idea. That Fri/Sat/Sun books a ton of hotel rooms, tables at restaurants, etc.

Groundhog Day. She brings the same bill up every year. The same arguments are made about how it makes no sense and the bill dies. Look for the same bill to come out again next year and the year after that....

This. It's an emotional issue for Dumais. Ok.

Except that crime (including home invasions) is steadily increasing out her way, so her constituents may be unpleasantly surprised when they finally break down and try to buy a gun to defend themselves...
