I have trouble with all the electronic readers. My skin is really dry.
So say you have none of that handy, you can rub your fingertips on your forehead gently. Your fingertips will pick up the oils. Livescan typically does well with that.

It cost me $20 and was well worth the drive to Frederick. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs to be fingerprinted on paper cards.

Thanks for update. Guess I need to schedule and take a drive next week.

Just out of curiosity, how long did it take to receive the renewed card from the time you mailed the renewal application to FL? Thanks.

I renewed mine earlier in the year and it took about a month to get back to me.

Jul 9 to Sep 12. Online renewal form, and then they "misplaced" my fingerprint card. They eventually found it... after multiple calls reminding them that I sent it Priority Mail overnight, signature required...

Took me 60 days, but it wasn’t their fault.
USPS lost the first one. When I notified them I had to wait 30 days to see if it would show up.
Never did, so they resent the permit.

My main concern is, if it was misdirected then someone would have it and my information. Florida wasn’t concerned with that at all.

Thanks all. I do not remember if I sent the original application by certified mail with signature required but this time I will. Thanks for the tip.

I send all my renewal applications priority mail, signature required. Someone once told me that they get different processing and don't get lost as much.
