My milsurp rifle has open sights that are regulated for 7.62 NATO M59 rounds. What's a good load to mimic the NATO ballistics using IMR 4895, as I have an 8# jug of it, using LC brass and CCI LR primers? Thanks!

    Found this info
From the NRA Load Data, to duplicate military load, 7.62 x 51 NAT0 (.308W.), 150 Gr. FMJ.
    42.5 Grs. IMR 4895

The load I use is 41.5 IMR 4895 / surplus 147gr FMJ or Horn 150 FMJBT, CCI-200 primers, LC 74-76 or WRA-68 brass. Use caution as these work for me.
    no signs of high pressure.

Thanks! I have some pulls coming in from Brassman Brass, so I'll be doing some reloading when they get here with this info. Thanks again!

I was looking for this info today because I forgot I asked this 7 years ago. This was the seventh result returned when I searched "7.62 nato load data".

Here is some NRA Service Rifle Data (M1a/M-14, 308 & 7.62 Garand) they have printed over the years.
Thank the NRA staff for developing and publishing this data. I can't find reprints online at this time or I'd simply post a link. Master Po's Temple, a great source of Ball data appears to have gone offline.
**!!** Disclaimer that I did not compile this nor declare it safe to use (though I based my M1a and FAL loads on this IMR 4895 and 4064 in LC cases data for decades with no problems, but I am just some guy on the 'net ;)).

BTW, THE match load for the M1A (according to Zeidecker) is 41.5 grains of H-4895 under a Sierra Match King 168 grain.

Ahh, I just duped what I already said so erased it.
M-59 should be 150.5 grain bullet at 2750 though.
