Tried l00king for a red dot sight that would fit a baby desert eagle II 9mm.
Can't find any that wouldn't require a gunsmith to install.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance

There used to be numerous bridge mounts that attached to the Picatinny rail on the dustcover of most pistols. Now most are made in China and very few have any holster support whatsoever, but it could be something to research.

Aside from that I don't know what you really want to use? The only other optics are rail mounts

dove tail mount may be possible I,m worried may not be sturdy enough

Just make sure you get a quality one piece mount that is designed to fit your gun, the 2 piece mounts do not stay put and they will not hold zero, trust me, I've been there and done that, they are a complete waste of time and money.

A one piece mount is going to sit up a tiny bit higher versus having your slide milled, but I have these on several Glock and M&P guns, they work great, are rock solid and hold zero, and the height difference is no big deal IMHO.

It's a much cheaper alternative to having your slide milled, and returning your gun to factory iron sights, if ever desired, is a breeze.
