So will Benchmade go ahead and cut the unsold knives in half, or is that just contract work for them?

My heart skipped a beat when I saw the Osborne on there. Its the 943 though. Still a great knife, but the 940 is my favorite. I found a 943 on steep discount a while back and its the one that sparked my love for the 940/943 line of knives. Still ridiculously over priced though. I hate that I love them! :lol2:

I just bought a Triage. I had a feeling it was going to be discontinued since it was hard to find one in stock.

How does Benchmade handle service on their discontinued products?

they service till they are out of parts, then will either return it as best they can repair, or give a coupon for their webstore to buy something else. They will use new production parts in older models, so sometimes things like Griptilians or balisongs that have a lot of revisions can get a steel upgrade if you need to replace a blade. Was looking to see if there are any deals to be had, most of the discontinued models have been out of stock for some time anyway, and the models replacing these have better stuff, and no substantial discounts.

I've been carrying a Contego 810bk for years. Just ordered a spare, myself.
