Favorite Rifle purchase of 2017

We have one for handguns, why not one for rifles? What's yours?

I recently purchased a Colt 9mm Carbine. I haven't tried it out yet but I'm sure it will be fun to shoot.

I have a CMMG Colt pattern 9mm carbine. Almost sold it in my purging frenzy, but came to my senses. You are going to love the Colt.

I've had an Olympic Arms carbine in .45 ACP for 25+ years...it doesn't have the fit and finish of a Colt but it's exceptionally accurate and completely reliable...if the Colt 9mm is as good I'll be very happy.

Bought a Ruger American bolt action in 7.62X39. Don't know why exactly, just called to me from the wall of the gun shop. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.
Also just ordered a complete Colt AR lower from Brownells. Figured better get it now since I live here.

In a similar vein as SigDog, I bought a Howa mini action barreled receiver with a bull barrel in 7.62x39. Placed it in an MDT LSS chassis, ended up with a surprisingly balanced and handy bolt action rifle.

Took it out to Delmarva this past week and had a great time, got solid hits in a hard drive at 300 yards.

Been hesitating about putting a photo of it in the precision rifle thread

The best part of the handgun thread is the photos.

I had to think a minute on that one. Unless I am having a senior moment , I only bought one complete *Rifle * this year .

To almost continue a theme , a 9mm AR carbine , albeit a PSA Glock pattern , rather than a Colt pattern .

Annnnd , from the nagging thought ; I exchanged plastic for another Rifle , but it was for a Gift, and not for me .

And half following a theme ; A 9mm Carbine , but a Hi Point rather than an AR .

My apologies...sometimes I forget how important the gun porn is.
