I am trying to locate a genuine Colt detachable carry handle rear sight for my AR6721. I found one on EBay and it's in good shape. Is there a foundry mark or something that would tell me if it is made by/for a Colt?

OBTW, a new one Colt carry handle rear sight at Brownells is $128.

Nothing identifying as Colt. They're generic, mil-spec, and well-made. A bunch of other AR-15 manufacturers use the exact same handles. If it says Colt, it's fake.

$128 new is a good price. I sold my Colt takeoff handle to another forum member for $100, IIRC.

The carry handle is not marked Colt, but the seller claims it's a Colt. I have an extra PSA carry handle - but it just seems wrong to put it on a Colt :)
