    Huh . And here I thought the Scope WAS the enhancer . What single plane sighting , magnification, and focusable .

    As people get older, they get bifocals or trifocals, which adjust their focus at certain distances.

    Which leaves some folks who cannot see the crosshairs because the distance is too close.

    But isn't that the reason for the focusing ring on the scope ?

    ( I may otherwise be an old fart , but my vision is just about the only thing holding up .)

    The focusing ring changes the focal distance of the scope within a relatively small range. The Clemit device acts as a reducer to shrink the focal distance for people with presbyopia. Presbyopia is the inability to focus at close distance, which is what bifocal and progressive lenses are for. With the Clemit device, people with presbyopia can position their head at normal distance (a few inches) behind the scope and see the scope reticle without wearing bifocal or progressive glasses.

    My close vision sucks too and I don't think my progressives work when I shoulder my rifle, but the focus seems to fix it. Perhaps my bad vision is not too severe.
