    It's basic, but it is 4150 steel for the bbl.

    6 months ago, this would have been a good deal @ $299 , just another example of the AR-15 industry moving stock at below cost to free up cash.

    I question the quality control in the manufacturing process. I wouldn't hesitate to drop $450+ on a complete upper, if I knew the manufacturer was good. But then again, I would rather build an upper on my own, even if it sets me back $600+, because I am assembling it to my specs, not a factory spec sheet.
