The glock was an employee's gun. He was selling it privately...not through the store.

In defense of United policy, they do run a brisk business with lots calls, queries and foot traffic in and out of there. Usually they do put a name list with contact numbers on consignment items (via sticky note). Sometimes (especially for popular items and multiple handlings) the list can get misplaced or falls off.

I have completed several transfers here. Its a good store. Most of the time they notify all on the wait list on availability. Yet, I have been passed over or not notified on an item or two as well. That being said, if it is something you REALLY want, try to make every effort to be "Johnny on the spot" otherwise it will likely get snapped up by someone else.

Give them another try....they get a lot of items here and offer at aggressive prices to sell, sell, sell

    :party29:

Ps) I did not get the Glock (too small for my hands)...and I have no connection to United except being an occasional customer

google is your friend, I am not.
You have to be quick when trying to grab a gun off this thread. I have called within minutes of seeing something posted here and I was already #2. People are in the store as well looking over the goodies. Its often better to call IMO. Some of the really good items have stickies 7 deep.

It was explained earlier in the thread I believe. More or less "owner's prerogative" which is understandable. I'd imagine it's not the easiest of businesses to run - better safe than sorry on the regulation side.

I agree, their shop their rules.

That being said still crappy that a shop would impose their own rules above and beyond law to make it even harder. State works against us, why do we work against ourselves too? I'll say the same thing of people who advertise here in the classifieds and like to add their own little rules to things.

Guess I'll stop paying attention to this thread. No HQL and no intention to get one since I don't need one legally to buy C&R handguns.
