For all you HK91/PTR91/CETME owners out there, what Rifle folding/collapsible stocks have you tied? I think the German issue collapsible stock definitely has the cool factor but I have read it is punishing to shoot. The Choate folder might be the more ergonomic option. Are there any other choices besides those two?

I've been thinking of getting one of the Choate folding stocks for my PTR 91, but haven't tried anything other that the normal stock though. There are two different types of Choate folders. The regular one and one that has removable spacers to change the length. The different sites that had them have good reviews for them.

I read that the "meat tenderizer" collapsible stock does not shorten the overall length as much as the Choate side folders, is not as comfortable, and is much more expensive.

I also see there is a M4 style retractable stock.

I have a Choate folder for my 10/22 (complete stock) and it is very well made and comfortable. Course the 10/22 does not have the kick of a 308 either.
