I was just chatting with a Class II dealer buddy of mine, and he told me that the ATF had backed off the Cheif LEO sign off rules?
Did I miss something with the ATF?

That is correct. That requirement was removed when 41F became active last July that required fingerprints for trusts.
Anyone got a link or is this confidence in well sourced hearsay?
Nope, it's real, but I don't have a cite, just that I didn't have to get CLEO signoff on my latest NFA purchase last year. FWIW.

They no longer need to sign off on an individual submission. Only to be notified by mail. The complete directions are attached with the new Form1s available on the atf website
