According to Century, these are a CETME clone. And according to Nate at Engage, the CETME is NOT a copy of the HK91 due to the lack of interchangeable parts.

They were mistakenly regulated. Cetme is not banned as hkg3 copy

Can someone please make a 110% Maryland legal semi-auto in 7.62x54r that doesn't cost $1,400.00 bucks.

Can't be that difficult.

From what I gather in the article, they had that problem before but have since worked out the kinks.

For that price, I'd take the gamble.

The internal parts necessary for the CETME's function are not completely interchangeable with any "banned" assault long gun. It is therefore not a copy of an assault long gun.

Not legal advice, just information.

Here is a Century build( bottom). The receiver wasnt welded very straight on the bottom this makes it a pisa to remove the buttstock, but it does work .

I'm guessing Century must have successfully negotiated their labor contract with the one eyed, one arms chimps they use as a work force.

I used to own a PTR91 and REALLY wanted one of their C93s until I held the one hanging on the wall in Lou's shop forever.

"Wow... this is a POS".

"Pretty much".

I couldn't believe how sloppy the lower receiver pinned to the rest of the gun.

However, if these seemed to be of decent quality I would buy one as I regret selling the PTR.
