    Number of accidents decreasing is Fact.

    Alledged reduction in % is vague and highly specultory , with bunches of variables over 40yrs .

    And just sayin' . The big drop in accidental hunting related shootings due to blaze orange and HS classes was already well underway by late '70s . In recent decades hunting related accidents have been very small % of overall accidents .( But falling from trees , heart attacks, and dehydration are still a bitch.)

    They shoot themselves in the foot, not the head unfortunately.

    But, most have put their foot in their mouths...

    In the article "fewer housholds with guns" ? I call bs. I range officer and about 25% of the people at the range are newbees with their first gun.
