    I get it you want to save shipping ... But bite the bullet and pay the shipping to Mag Na Port .

    If you did find someone locally that claims to do it, it will look worse, and be less effective.

    Mag Na Port has actual pattented shape to their ports, knock off immitations are just a generic hole or slot . Mag Na Port will have better ratio of muzzle flip reduction to gas diverted .

    Mag Na Port is not only very good at porting , but also good at 'smithing or refinishing your gun , and producing small runs of custom guns.

    Added - In fairness, HybraPort also has scientifically designed pattented Port design .Hybra offers massive recoil reduction , but at expense of velocity loss, and major gas relocation. Different set of parameters and trade offs .

    Ok.Ok you sold me on Mag Na Port. Lol. I visited their website and like what they offer so going to send out my S&W 629 classic 8 3/8" to have them port it. Thanks for input
