    Requiem by Robert Louis Stevenson

Under the wide and starry sky
Dig the grave and let me lie:
Glad did I live and gladly die,
And I laid me down with a will.

This be the verse you 'grave for me:
    Here he lies where he long'd to be;
Home is the sailor, home from the sea,
And the hunter home from the hill.

I don't think I met him , unless part of a large crowd at event or hearing. Just knew him from here on MDS .

    RIP

    I'm saddened.
He sat behind me and coached me during more than one rifle match.
He'd say what needed to be said: "Dammit Steve that's 3 in a row low...what are you married to the damn sight elevation? Gimmee 3 clicks NOW!"
I remember him for being a nice guy to talk to, on and off the range.
I'm a better shooter because of him.
    I'll miss him.

Lew was a good friend and I enjoyed many conversations with him over the years! I made many trips both to the range and to his home just so that I could enjoy his company. Is was sad to see what he endured at the end of his life but, he was not a quitter! His mind and his wit were sharp! I will miss you my friend but, I'm glad your suffering is over. May you rest in eternal peace at that great range in heaven!

Someone please post a photo of Lew.
I have been Monumental member for 33 years and his name sounds familiar to me.

I was just thinking about Lew a few days ago, wondering how he was doing. I knew his health had been going down for awhile, so this is not a surprise.

I met Lew quite often at the AGC, and shot a few matches with him. He was a good guy indeed.

    I will remember you, Lew.
