I’ve been scanning my hill like a crazy person. No groundhogs so far. I’m getting the itch.

My Saturday was busy cleaning popup camper from spring break trip. I saw tons. My big farm opportunity may be gone. Long story that has nothing to do with me.

Hopefully you've got some more farms to hunt.
I'm expecting one of the places I hunt may be sold sooner rather then later.
Then who knows if I can still hunt the property. Nothing stays the same.

You'er missing a good meal after all they are largest squirrel here in North America. Nothing better then squirrel, hogs just give you more of it. Chris

"You are what you eat" applies to game animals you know. I've had plenty of good squirrel in my life, but have yet to taste groundhog that didn't remind me of old gym socks buried in mud even after a good soak in buttermilk.

Not off hand but from an elevated Big Game, 2-man stand with a rest so I can't take that much credit, PJ. Every once in a while I practice my off-hand shooting with my sporter weight rifles and usually end up leaving the range depressed!!:sad20: Thank God for bipods and shooting mats!

I hear that. Still at 220 yards, that’s a good shot. Last year I only shot offhand here at the house. It has greatly improved my shooting over what it was.

Found a burrow in the backyard today. I am not in a shooting safe location. Any recommendations for a trap?

Last year I hit 5 with a .22lr pistol out of my bathroom window at work , they were approx. 4 yards away , and I would wait till they came all the way out of the hole . And you gotta hit them right threw the ear .
