Does anyone know if the Rugged Obsidian 45 can use SiCo pistons or do I need Rugged pistons?

    Yes you can.

The difference is the SiCo pistons have grooves for clocking the Ospreys. There is an argument these grooves add to the blowback.

I only use Rugged pistons so I can't confirm these assertions.

Thanks guys. Got an email from rugged after the shot show confirming. I may get a rugged piston to see if I makes a difference on blowback. Just gotta get the can out of jail first.

yes they will work, but I recommend using the Rugged parts on a Rugged can

It doesn't matter. They are literally the exact same piston, minus the slots in the SiCo one for timing the Osprey.

Henry Graham, one of the founders of Rugged, who designed the Obsidian, is also a former employee of SiCo, and worked on their products while he was there. He has said that it's fine to interchange the pistons.
