Desert Eagle 1911u

I recently picked up a 3" springfield emp in 9mm as an impulse buy and it quickly turned into one of my favorite guns to shoot at the range. I'm now interested in stepping up to a big boy caliber in a similar format.

Does anyone have experience with the Desert Eagle 1911u? It looks like a nice package. My other pick might be the Sig ultra compact 1911 but the DE is quite a bit cheaper.

I have the G model, one thing I can say and most reviews will attest, it has one of the best triggers I've ever felt on any handgun, and very accurate as well, but again mine is a full size, but I've also heard good things about the other models.

I was looking at the DE 1911U before it got on the "approved" list. On my short bucket list. Seems like a Colt defender size. I have a Sig 1911 C3. Great gun, two tone, Colt commander size. Quite a bit more in price than the DE. You won't be sorry with either pick.
