If memory serves me, I think I paid around $9.00 for Unique, when I started loading.
CCI Primers were somewhere around 1/2¢ apiece.

I still have a brick (1,000) of Federal primers, that I got for less than $14.00.

About the lowest I remember primers was in the $7 per thousand range.

I know we were casting bullets and reloading .45 ACP for about 1 cent per round (cheaper than 22). And that including buying scrap linotype for the bullets.

When I was shooting USPSA/IPSC, we were buying hardcast .45 acp 200 gr LSWC for $23.00/thousand, when we bought 10,000 boolits.

Several of us would get together and make a club group-buy.

Old Dodge p/u was saggin' in the back, when we were coming home!:lol2:

    When was that?

I still have a number of boxes of D&J bullets. NICE product. I remember about $35 per thousand in the mid 90s.

    Lemme think.

    Late '80s to early '90s.

    These were "All American" boolits.
I've still got several boxes of them, in my "boolit cabinet".

    Very consistent quality. Very accurate.
They looked exactly like what stu was offering to order/pick-up for everyone, last week, I think.

I have some All American also. Then D&J came along, and were cheaper, and they delivered to the matches, as they were shooters.

Also the D&J wadcutter edge seemed sharper. VERY clean holes.
