This is my boy Skeet. Beagle/GSP mix is what I am told. He and his 6 sibs were rescued from a high kill shelter in Alabama. He is 13 weeks old.

    In general, yes.

    My 90lb golden/lab mix lived to 15.

    Grandmother's 10lb poodle lived to 19.

Also have to consider length of life vs quality of life. In addition to not living as long, larger dogs tend to develop issues (joints, digestion, etc) earlier than smaller dogs.

Makes sense, thanks. Maybe I'll get a toy rottweiler!

Bucky @ 9 months old. Def. an adolescent now, starting to look like a classic wire haired fox terrier with that loooong muzzle. A real sweetie and a bundle of energy and fun.

I love rotties, always have. But being a small dog person now, this sounds amazing.

I mean my chihuahua acts like a pit bull at 6lbs. Thinks she is a big ass dog and still cuddly as hell.

Our new addition to the family. Nala is a 12 week old Doberman. The big guy is Koda, he's 3 years old. Only been together for about 2 weeks and they're already getting along great.
