Wonder how this new product will compare to the S&W 15-22.

    Starting at $550 MSRP.
S&W is $299 at Bud's. So, does anyone think the RRA would be twice as good? Aside from RRA fanboys, that is.

According to their web page, it looks like there are 2 versions.

The standard version appears to have a dedicated poly lower, and poly upper. I don't think that could top the M&P 15-22.

The higher end one has a nice stock, different handguard, and a forged upper and MULTI-CALIBER lower, which is something that stood out to me. I am seriously considering one if I can navigate the magazine situation.

Well, I've been browsing and was thinking of buying the 15-22. For a .22 plinker I'll wait and see what the big vendors price the RRA at.

I think this will be key for many folks considering one of these rifles.

It's been almost three months since I started this thread and still no third party reviews of the LAR-22. Also, none in stock anywhere. At least I can't find one.

I think they may made of unobtainium.
