I don't know if you've watched any of the confirmations of Trump's cabinet picks, or his disastrous press conference, but if you did, then you'd know our country is facing an incredible threat. On January 20th, we are walking into unprecedented territory, as a leader who does not believe in our democratic institutions, human rights, or climate change takes the oath of office.
We are witnessing the living embodiment of patriarchy, white supremacy, and corporate greed take the reins of power in our country. We must not meet this terrible occasion with silence and placation. We must meet the challenges ahead with resistance from the very beginning.
Join us as we gather with Marylanders from every part of our state to march on January 20th and meet Donald Trump's inauguration with a festival of resistance.
On January 20th at 12pm, we will gather at Columbus Circle, the plaza in front of Union Station. Our group will have a Progressive Maryland banner and we'll be standing near the fountain on the right side, when facing the station. After we gather our mighty Maryland delegation, we will meet with protesters from around the country to show President Trump we will not be silent under his reign of terror. With our proximity to the nation's capital, Maryland will be on the front lines of the movement and we need a massive showing of grassroots power on January 20th.
