    Almost Heaven
The water is up due to the recent rains we have had. Also be aware and cautious of two logjams at the Gas House Pike Bridge and a CSX railroad bridge:
    https://news.maryland.gov/dnr/2014/05/16/nrp-issues-hazard-warning-for-monocacy-river-logjam/

Be careful and remember your pfd!

Here is the live data for Current Conditions for Maryland: Stream flow:

    http://waterdata.usgs.gov/md/nwis/current/?type=flow&group_key=basin_cd

scoll down and there are a few sites along the Monacacy to see the stream flow and height measurements.

If you have a chance to peek down at either of the log jams, note that they are COVERED with snakes sunning themselves.....man I hate those slithery things.
