If you didn’t know, Hancock Farms in La Plata has phenomenal meats! I just picked up a couple of tomahawk steaks to reverse sear this weekend!!!

Big fan of the reverse sear and rib eye is my favorite steak. Post pics of the cook. (disregard my screen name)

    Can’t beat their meat. Seriously!

You really can’t. Farm to my table in under a week and their bacon and sausages are delicious. They’re my go to for normal meats but every once in a while I’ll go to Nicks if I’m going to get a massive tenderloin or ribeye roast etc.

    $17 per pound?
    Ouch.
    Beautiful, yes…but even a 3-pounder
would bang in at around $51 each!!!!!
    $68 for a 4-pounder…
Would LOVE to try them, but outta my
    range for level of comfort.
Maybe, when I win the lottery.

What makes it so special compared to other steaks other then the looks? Mean yes bone in meat taste better at times but your also paying for that.......

For me it’s no different than any other bone in rib-eye. I mean you can crack it and get marrow. But I won’t. This is just a pure man moment when you look down at it and you get that feeling like I nailed that cook. And it’s the size of a friggin Dino leg!!!

Any good meat places in Calvert County? I usually drive over the bay bridge to the sudlersville meat market.

    Go to a kosher butcher.

$17 a pound will sound like a bargain.
