I had the Po Boy catfish sandwhich today and a bowl of Gumbo. It has been years since I've had catfish this good! Phenomenal! The Gumbo was something else too.

Also of note is the two cashiers up front, very pretty young ladies with good customer service!

I'll be returning for another meal that is certain.

We use a local caught catfish. It is always fresh! That is what I had last night as well.
We have crawfish today as well. They are very good. We had them shipped up from. New Orleans yesterday. I had to have a few last night as well. Im going in to get more.
Ill let the girls know they are doing a good job!

They are engineered and constructed. It is a stack of deli meats (mainly salami and ham) topped with provolone cheese topped with an olive salad all on a French bread roll. They are 9" or 10" in diameter and are sold by the quarter. It is big, and they are selling out every day. (I don’t like olives) I have never had one, so that is all I can tell you.

On my way out of BWI today, I decided to program my GPS to the restaurant's address. This shop is not far from BWI. I picked up a 1/4 muffuletta to go. It was good, probably would have been better if it hadn't sat next to me in the car as I dealt with some ugly traffic. The drive home should have been 30 minutes, it was more like 45-60.

I would not hesitate to visit again, particularly earlier in the day and I will be eating in. Good food should be eaten once it is prepared, not after a long drive home.

PS, the doughnut shop next door closes at 11:30am.

EDIT: The mini pecan pies are killer. Very good item.

My wife and I stopped by this evening for dinner. She had the shrimp salad and I had a cup of gumbo and the baked ham po' boy. All very good. The sandwich was huge. Looking forward to trying the fried chicken po' boy.

Run, do not walk to The New Orleans Kitchen & French Market. Stopped in today and had the lunch combo of 1/2 roast beef Po' Boy and a cup of the red beans and rice (includes a fountain drink).

The sandwich was as good as any I've had at Domilise's or Parkway in New Orleans (LOVE the Leidenheimer rolls) and the red beans and rice had a great flavor with a good amount of meat in it.

The bread pudding was excellent as well and a single portion is more than enough for two to share.

It's very close to Arundel Mills so anyone checking out the new casino should make it a priority to also hit The New Orleans Kitchen & French Market.

On the way out, I saw a MDS magnet on a pick-up truck and thought it might be ducrider45, but it turns out it was Micktaco having lunch, and it was my pleasure to meet a fellow MDS member

Tried the Jumbalaya Wednesday. Some good stuff. Surprised I haven't met any fellow members since I've been a regular there now. :)

I went by and had to try the sides. I got a cup of each and loved them. Even though i expected to like the Jambalaya best but that Gumbo is awesome.

How was your mcdonalds? Because they're closed sun and mon ;)

You know, when I saw a new post about this place I was wondering if someone made that error.

I can only imagine the disappointment to see the lights out and the doors locked.

I brought 3 co-workers with me in on the 1st, it took me awhile to post sorry. I sent you a PM also. But we thought the food was fantastic. We all had something different and we all loved what we had. I had the fried chicken po'boy & gumbo special. The only real negative in our opinion was the price. It was a bit on the steep side for lunch in the area. But we all agreed we would be back in for lunch again because the food was out of this world.

I think i've got my boss ready to bring us for a work lunch soon. He will ofttimes ask where we would like to eat and i had already been talking to some co-workers. I talked the place up again yesterday while we waited for another conference call to start.

Stopped in today for some carryout for lunch. Po-boys are great (2 Shrimp and 1 RB). Got a pint each of Gumbo and Jumbalyia (sp) and will hold those for dinner.

Good food and good service.
