    Hey everyone,

Growing up my family used giant styrofoam blocks to shoot into. About 5'x4'x4', I know a lot of other people have used them too but I can't seem to find them anymore. The one my dad has is probably 15 years old and shot out. What I can find are some sculpting foam blocks but they are 4-500 dollars and I don't know if the density would be good for shooting anyways. Does anyone have a place near Mt airy or a website where I could buy him a new one?

    thanks

I’ve seen large styrofoam blocks being used as spacers between boat and utility trailers when they are transported stacked ontop of one another.

Years ago we got them from Solo Cup over in Federalsburg... they took scrap styrofoam cups and smashed em into a giant block. It was like the size of a fridge!

They were messy though, the cups would break off over time so we took a torch to em and melted the outside.. that helped a little... lol

My current target is a rag bag from Third Hand.. it will stop anything all day long. Fill it with old rags/clothes, etc and hang it up. It's pretty big, I shoot at it from 80yds no problems.

Home depot and Lowes sell 80% foam block kits.

First, build a 5'x4'x4' plywood box...

Thanks guys, I'll try tractor supply. I think I tried there once before years ago, but I didn't ask about transport trash they might be throwing away. If not, those blocks might just be a thing of the past.

Saw some on craigslist. In the for sale section under the free heading...just now.
