Do you just let the paint dry or does it have to be cured in the oven? I've been trying to decide what to color fill with and this appears to be the best way

no oven needed at all. I just let it dry for about 15 minutes in a warm place. Then carefully use the patch with the bore cleaner on it to rub off the excess paint on the flat surfaces around the painted cutout. I painted another spikes lower about 5 years ago..and while i never take the gun out in the rain etc...the paint has held up super well over at least 3000 rounds of shooting and cleaning it 3 dozen times. Worse case a re-touch up of it down the road is all that is needed.

Nicely done! Post up the completed firearm when it's ready to go to the range. Something like this needs a BFS III or Echo 2.

Dude that is an awesome job. Just when I didn't think a "needed" another lower, I might just have to get one of these.
