Here is a project that some may find interesting. My brother did one as a Truck Gun, he lives in free America, and is happy with the result. He says the folded footprint is 8" x 20". He added a flashlight under the barrel and he used Short Lane Caliber adapters. So I was looking at Hatfield's today at Wally World, they come in 12, 20, or 410.

Here is a link on how to improve the portability:

    20 gauge Hatfield

I cut the barrel on my 20 gauge Hatfield to 20". I already have a H&R 20 gauge single shot. I was looking for a handier gun.

The trigger was horrible. After backing off the hammer spring I noticed erratic ignition (empty shell with primer only). Turns out that the firing pin protrusion was inadequate. Actually the firing pin was fine - it was the hammer shape - it was binding in the frame. I reshaped the hammer nose and I now have .035 -.040" of the firing pin sticking out. 100% ignition so far. I'm not recommending that anyone else try something like that. If you get one with a problem send it back to the factory.

I have not shot it yet. In a gun this light with a hard plastic butt plate a 12 gauge might be too much of a good thing.

Is it an ok gun? Im my opinion it's worth the $100 that I paid for it.

I bought another one a couple of weeks ago in 410 bore.
