How do you like the 9? I feel like that would be a great set-up, super fun to shoot.

    Me?
I just picked it up yesterday, so I have not shot it yet. I'm guessing I will like it a lot. I have other 9 mm's. This is going to be hard to compare to my M&P or Sigs.
The 1911 has always been my favorite handgun platform. I have had other 1911's that I sold in the past but I think the S&W's are better qualitiy than even the Colts I used to have.

    Just bought it today 6/18/2013.
This is a virtual time capsule.
I probably won't see it until some time in October.

Is that the 6" hard chrome Premeer II? I also shoot Baer pistols . VERY NICE!
You say the wait begins are you waiting for it to be built or are you waiting on a MD FFL?

All Stainless 6". FFL. Have plenty of new toys to play with tho! Still waiting on another purchase as well but everything else I bought was at belair gun and supply (8th day release) so the wait isn't as bad.

I guess I should post a picture of my 1911A1 Or as I call it, "Gramps" because it's one of the oldest guns in the collection. Can't see the serial number too well, but I looked it up and it was likely made in 1943. My dad carried it in Vietnam and brought it home and had it ever since.

Haven't shot it in a while but when we did, it was like it was fresh off the line.
