    Arn't those MiHec molds beautiful. But they are like potato chips , you can't have just one.
    And I love the penta point hollow points.

    you got it his molds are like works of art...the craftsmanship is great
    bar none..and as you said just can't have one set... penta points
    are the way to go... got me eyes on several of the group buys now
    MIha 44 Terminator,.453 225gr WNFP w/HP options, 432640 Lyman
    Devastator and the 180 Grain Large HP 44 SWCHP...
    Figure to use the 45 cal 225gr WNFP in the 45LC Blackhawk.
    Have his H&G 68 clone molds with the penta-points they shoot great..
    the only downside is if you want em in a hurry it ain't gonna happen, but
    hey it gives more time to put the money aside...(grin)

    How to these MiHec molds compare to NOE molds?

    Here is their web site:
    https://www.mp-molds.com/gallery
    Look at the last three pictures of the 452 374. It shows the solid and the two hollow point choices (round and penta point). Most people get all three sets of pins and a single mold can cast three versions.

    And read the comments in the Cast Boolets Group Buys sub forum:
    http://castboolits.gunloads.com/forumdisplay.php?53-Group-Buys-Design-Active-Waiting-and-Archives

    I have one NOE mold and half a dozen MiHec plus some lee, Lyman, miscellaneous, and a Hensley before there was Gibbs.

    Have 2 NOE sets, about 10 MiHec, 4 H&G, maybe 10 or more Lyman molds, 1,2,4 cavity { what I've got laying around }
    out of all I use the MiHec more, they seem to work better and less issues molds too hot, too cold etc. also the interchangeable hollow point, penta point in which is a big,deep crater in the bullet, along the lines of the old speer 200gr JHP not the new ones..the quality of his molds are top notch. Like I said the only downside is if you want them now it ain't gonna happen unless he has them on his site,and the group buy has to close. They are worth the $ and the wait.

    If you cast for 45ACP get a set of his Cramer style molds with all the pins, or a set of H&G 68 clone molds these are what I use in loading 45ACP shoot great from a rest. These were the first molds I got from him.

    All I can say is buy a set... get in line and wait.....{ not trying to be a smart*ss }

    So two things.....first, I just joined the forum. I like all the information that is here and figure I would contribute. Second, I cast my first set of boolits tonight. Lee 356-124-TC mold using the Lee Pro 4 and wheel weights. I have included a few pictures of the end product. I have some eastwood powder and intend to PC.

    One question I have is do the base of the boolits look OK or is there something amiss with my sprue cutting? They all pretty much look like that. Other than that it was a fun and interesting experience.

    I think I will be getting a mold to cast 20 gauge slugs soon. Doe anyone use the Lyman Shotgun Slug SC 20 GA Sabot Mould, 350 Grains or the HP slug? If so, do you start crimp or roll crimp?

    All very exciting 20180429_233107.jpg
