A few bucks and some does. Same buck, but the others were small.

Add a wide eight into the mix. Looks like I have a bumper crop of shooters this year...if they show up in the daytime :D

FullSizeRender.jpg.jpg Near another members hunting ground in the county. I cant say where or I would not have got the picture its obviously been managed for a awhile but for real. I know a guy who hunted it one time as a guest and he shot a fox opening day. The old man could have cared less, the crazy old fart. He likes killing ducks.

I've been deleting 3000+ pics down to about 150 this evening. Here are a couple of interesting ones.
***Can anyone tell what's on the doe's hindquarter? Growth? Wound?

Looks like maybe an old bullet wound or boil. Its far back if it was a bullet.
It's your turn this year wil! Hope you get one.
I didnt even put in for a moose tag, its a lotto draw so I think I will next year and see if I get a tag, Ive been seeing a bull 2 years in a row now. He's pretty brave because he hangs close to the roadway.

That looks like it may be an injury. Have you seen this deer in multiple years with this type of rack? I wouldn't deny that deer at least 1 more year before you culled it.

    Just my personal opinion!

are you saying let it go one more year? I might have got one pic of it last year as a smaller 2x1 but it could be the spike I shot 2 seasons ago that got away. I hit it on its right side which would make sense as to why his left antler is messed up. Im still unsure if it survived though.

If it's just 2 years old, I'd let it go for 1 more year. I still think it looks like an injury. I could be wrong, but if it were on my property, I'd leave it for 1 more year. Try to find something about the deer that you can record. Something that only this deer has. Then next year look back on your records and see if this deer comes back and how the rack looks then.

It's up to you, it's your property and you can manage it however you'd like. I'm just giving you my take on the situation.

I wish you the best of luck this year. It would seem like you have a nice selection of horns to hunt.

    Good Luck!
