I am looking for some help doing a very basic job on a lathe. I have a 7" aluminum tube with an OD of approximately 1.28" and I need to turn down the terminal end of the tube to 1.195". Only need to turn down the last 7/8" of the tube. I'm no machinist, but I figure this is about 3 minutes of set up and 60 seconds of machine time.
Anyone local and have a lathe? No rush on this, any time in the next couple weeks would be fine. I'm still waiting for the tube to arrive.
